The history about Westox
Westox building products, formed in Australia in March 1976 began as a plastering company engaged in the restoration of heritage plastering in Australia as far back as 1969 and for 6 years in the UK before that.
Westox is a quality accredited Australian company with over 40 years experience in the repair and conservation of older buildings in many countries. The company successfully introduced chemical injection damp coursing in Australia in 1975 and optimised the method for the reinstatement of wood lath ceilings. In the early 1980’s Westox worked in conjunction with the Commonwealth Scientific Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in the development of sacrificial renders, then in 1995 Westox acquired a specialized paper and board manufacturing plant at Revesby and established the “Technical Paper Services” division utilizing the pharmaceutical filtering board pulp in the desalination material known as Cocoon.
Westox products, which have been exported from Australia to over 45 countries, decided that growing interest of these special products in Europe needed a more localised base to serve and supply that market.
The company Existens kem AB based in Sweden who have worked with many of the Westox products since 1998 have been appointed the European Distributors for Westox building products.
Westox Building Products Nordic AB was formed in 2012 and are now our sole distributor in Europe.
